Medallion Border # 1

I finished the first border on my medallion quilt and I couldn't be happier.  I decided I wanted to do two simple blocks that would compliment each other and this gave me the look I was going for.

I wanted the two blocks to be opposite with the background grey on one and the background colorful on the other.  To me it gives more of a subtle effect than if I had just used bright colors for the entire border.

I already have the blocks sewn and trimmed for the next border...now if I only could get the time to put it together...

Sharing more soon!

  4. Your borders are looking great. I really, really like the addition of the first grey border, it lets the star really shine before further colour is added.
