Sun Quilt Top Almost Complete

Just a quick post to keep you up to date on what I am working on.  The sun quilt is coming along nicely.  The sun itself is now fully surrounded by background pieces.  All that I have left to do on the top is add pieces to the corners to make the quilt into a square instead of an octagon.

I can't wait until it is finished, more to come soon!  Thanks for reading.

Have a lovely day!

  1. Wow, it looks amazing! I'll be interested to see how you end up squaring this off.

  3. Wow! Your quilt is everything I love about those Judy Niemeyer quilts, but it's so, SO modern. Intricate and modern can work together, and you've done it handily. Crazy good work, will be looking for the finish!

  4. This is the most eye catching quilt I have seen in quite a while. I love the contrast between the yellow, red and orange and the blues. The warm and cold colours. And the stringy piecing in the sun against the patchwork piecing in the background. That sun actually looks like it's on fire! I really do love it! Clever, clever, clever!
