Finished Star Pillow!

I finally finished my star pillow!  Since the top was already done the rest of the pillow was a breeze.

I backed the front of the pillow with a layer of batting and subtly quilted lines using white thread every half inch echoing the shape of the star. The star itself is not quilted to really showcase the fabrics and the star.

The back of the pillow uses an envelope style closure and features the same white architextures fabric as the background of the star on the front.  The actual cover is slightly smaller than 20" (on purpose) but fits a 20" pillow perfectly.  The smaller size gives the pillow a fuller look, which I personally like.

I appreciate you stopping by!  Have a lovely day!

  1. I love it! Congrats on finishing up this sweet star. Those bright colours look perfect with that architectures. And the quilting - great choice - it does showcase the piecing of the star. You aught to come up with a pattern for it as a block. I have to say... Hope you don't mind if I share it with a link back on my facebook page at http://facebook.com/sewfreshquilts.

  4. Beautifully done Elise. I love the way your quilted it, a little like a reverse of your sun quilt.
