Finished Fat Quarter Jewelry Bags!

Remember those jewelry bags I posted about a few days ago?  Well I finished them and I adore they way they turned out - more importantly I gave them to their new owners and they loved how they turned out too!

One of the great things about this bag is how it lays flat but once the strings are pulled, it curls up around everything holding all your precious items neatly in place.

The bag is a simple construction containing 4 circles of fabric and some ribbon.  The interior pockets match the exterior of the bags but if you look inside the pockets, the interior of the pockets are the same as the interior of the bag (hopefully that makes sense).

These bags went together quite quickly and if you are looking for a quick easy gift that looks nice when it is completed I recommend trying this 8-Pocket Jewelry Pouch pattern by Sew 4 Home.

As I mentioned in my previous post I decided to modify my bags slightly from the pattern to create strings on both sides so it closes more like a drawstring bag than a pouch.  It leaves the bag with long handles that can either be left to carry the bag with or tied neatly in a bow to keep the whole thing closed tightly for travel.

I am so glad to have these finished and will definitely be making more in the future!  Thanks for taking the time to check out my finish!  I hope you are having a productive week too!  Linking up with TGIFF with MR @ Quilt Matters.
